ABOUT VERACHTERT
Verachtert was founded in the Dutch town of Kerkdriel, close to 's-Hertogenbosch by the Verachtert family in 1953. The company started as a local supplier for
non-hydraulic dragline buckets. Verachtert pioneered several innovative technologies over the years, such as a profile bucket in 1969 and the Connect’ o maat quick coupler system in 1972.
In 1979 Verachtert opened new offices and a factory complex in 's- Hertogenbosch. Caterpillar Inc. acquired Verachtert in 1998 and the plant evolved into a development and production facility for both new Caterpillar products and those marketed under the Verachtert brand. Today
Caterpillar Work Tools B.V. employs some 250 people. It is the only Caterpillar production facility in The Netherlands and focuses on the European, Middle Eastern and African markets.
